Printer Cartridges

I have found a really a way to help me save money and reduce waste of printer cartridges. Walgreen's has a way you can refill your printer cartridges while you wait unless they have changed the prices a black cartridge is $10 and a color is $15. I have only had 2 that couldn't be filled, one was a photo cartridge it was worth a shot those are expensive. We also have another place that gets cartridges that have been sent back in for refill at the manufacture, and they sell them at half the cost of a % off what a new one would cost.
I know there are several places in our community that you can drop used cartridges off for recycle. Check around in your area and see what you can find.

Magazines

I know we all like magazines although I do not subscribe to any anymore, I know a lot of you do. What do you do with those magazines? Some put them out with their recycling by the curb, take them to paper retriever dumpsters, or just let them pile up around the house. Here is a suggestion for you all, our local library has a table outside the main doors in the foyer of the building. Here you can leave yours and take issues you don't subscribe to but you like reading. This is a great program for people to exchange with others. Other places are local nursing, community living establishments, or hospital waiting rooms. The people love to have updated materials to read and catch up on things they might have missed, even veterans homes would benefit as well. If your local library does not have a table or program like this talk to them and see if you can have them start one. Recycling is the best for most tho but think of helping brighten someones day with a new magazine or even a newspaper they may not have had the chance to see in a while. The little mom and pop type papers, are the best.
If you choose to do an exchange program or leave them at places for others to read, make sure you cut your name and address off for safety. You can never be too careful some just mark their name and address out with a black marker not a wise idea, you can still see through the marker on a lot of them. Which ever you choose to do happy reading and/or recycling.

More Insulations Stories

Adventures in foam insulation part 2 (part 1). I cleaned up from round 1 of my adventure and started round 2. It was easier this time except one of the cans nozzles broke. It came out much better not as messy as my first attempt. I have not taken the acetone to finish the clean up, I figured I would wait until the final spot was completely dry and ready to be sculpted. I still have the stair area to do but can not until we start tearing apart the floor by the front door to finish the sealing of crack. But I have seen a bit of a difference in the amount of air not coming in anymore. I plan to check around outside and see about possible cracks and leaks in the foundation. I has to be much warmer for me to do so. I was going to take pictures of my mess from first round but my digital camera has had other ideas, and not wanted to cooperate. But with all that said my attempts to seal up any cracks resulting in energy loss, has been very educational and helpful. The less the escapes my home the lower my gas and electric bills, therefore helping offset carbon footprint.

Dear Followers

I am sorry for missed postings lately I just have have a major "Brain Freeze" of sorts on what to post. I am trying to get things to a normalcy here at the house. It has just been nuts here and I am so behind on everything. I did get the wonderful chance of not using my dryer Saturday, my cloths line got the calling. It was a marvelous day and almost 70 degrees here unlike today that's just about 0. Freeze drying cloths isn't an option for me yes I have put laundry out when it's cold but not this cold LOL! I wish now tho that I would have put more effort into Saturday and got more done but I just kinda wanted to veg. I will be so glad when warmer weather starts being a normal thing again instead of the off the Richter Scale temps we have been having.
